Stopped in on a Tuesday night. Much better than the bar that looked like a house a mile away. Bartender was nice and friendly. She introduced herself right away. She let us know the drink specials and offered food menu. She was attentive but didn't hover. The bar was clean and so were the bathrooms.

Black Door Pub is the closest thing in Aurora to a club. Features covers and DJs along with too many people. It seems to be most popular among Latinos and they play mostly music for them. Hey, this music is often pretty danceable. The bar is kind of small so it's hard to move around inside. Feels more like a club than a pub, as there's mainly just drinks and not really any food. It would be too hard to eat in here. Things seem like they would take forever to come out because it's too crowded, and it's so hard to hear anything so it's easy to mess up. Female bartenders wear butt hugging onesies. There's armed security. It's about $7 for an average cocktail. That's still a lot cheaper than inner city clubs so it's comparatively okay. Gets most action on weekends mostly because it seems like other times it's alway closed. It always has a DJ so there's usually a cover whenever they are open. The bar isn't that big so it's not a good idea bringing a large group with you so only keep it to a few and you'll have good times.
